ap spotlight on - sean bennet
Born in Essex, Sean Bennett studied Graphic Design at the Croydon College School of Art and Design. Since graduating in 1993, he has designed books and covers for publishing companies, packaging for a pharmaceutical company and he is currently working as a magazine designer for a large London based newspaper.
Sean's passion for the 1960's and 1970's developed when he was at college; his authentic collection of "retrobilia" ranges from watches and clocks to clothes and even a car.
Three years ago Sean developed and translated his passion on computer, using the classic designs, patterns, colours and shapes from the sixties and seventies. To recreate a visual representation of these ideas into reality, he started using emulsion to paint and transferred his abstract designs onto board. His paintings have been featured in 'Livingetc", "Elle Decoration", "FHM" and "Sunday Express Magazine".
Sean now paints to commission, which he finds immensely satisfying; his work is collected by national and international clients.
